RESTORATION AND ENGINEERING DIVISION PROFILE
The Restoration and Conservation Division was created when Presidential Decree No. 260 was approved on August 1973.
As per Executive Order No. 117 (Reorganization 1987) the division was renamed Restoration and Engineering Division with nineteen (19) personnel and position item.
FUNCTIONS OF RESTORATION & ENGINEERING DIVISION
1. RESTORATION AND PRESERVATION
SECTION :

Mandated to do actual restoration and preservation of immovable cultural landmarks; conduct research work on immovable cultural landmarks to be restored or preserved; prepares plans and specifications and perform other related functions. |
2. RESEARCH, SURVEY AND DOCUMENTATION
SECTION :
Mandated to do survey (actual measurement) of immovable cultural landmarks; Prepares plans and elevation of documented immovable cultural landmarks; Survey of Museum properties and Sites and prepares lot plans; Prepares write-up of documented immovable cultural landmarks. |

3. PHYSICAL PLANNING SECTION :
Mandated to program repairs, construction and development of museum buildings, field stations, site museum, etc.; Prepares plans and specificatons; Prepares bill of materials and cost estimates; Does structural computations, working drawings of proposed structures, landscaping and development and perform other related function. |
4. CONSTRUCTION, REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE
SECTIONS :
In-charge of repair, construction, maintenance and development of museum buildings, field stations and other museum projects; In-charge of the maintenance of physical facilities; In-charge of the installation of exhibition structures and showcases and perform other related function. stripping of old paints of handrails
